What do invisible braces in Vienna really cost?
Why pricing in the aligner space feels confusing
Anyone searching online for "invisible braces Vienna cost" finds a range that irritates: from "€599 complete package" to "€6,500 both jaws". Where's the truth?
The honest answer: all of the above exist — but they describe very different things. Let's break the pricing landscape down piece by piece.
What an honest complete price must contain
A serious adult aligner offering includes at least the following services. If even one is missing or charged extra, the "low" headline price is misleading.
- Consultation, free or with deductible deposit
- iTero 3D scan of both jaws
- Panoramic X-ray
- Treatment plan and 3D preview
- All required aligner trays (10 for easy, 20 for sensitive)
- Attachments (composite helper points) if needed
- IPR (interproximal reduction) if needed
- All check-ups
- Refinements — additional trays at the end if fine adjustments are needed
- Final review and final scan
- Retainers for both jaws
- VAT, i.e. the price you actually pay at the end

Package sensitive — moderate corrections

- €2,280 per jaw, one-time
- €2,980 both jaws, one-time
- In 36 interest-free monthly instalments: €63 per month (1 jaw) or €83 per month (both)
All prices include the full service list above. No hidden extras.
How packages differ — beyond the price
The two packages don't differ in the quality of trays or medical care. They differ in the complexity of the movement we can reach.
- easy suits mild crowding, a small gap, mild rotation — anything roughly doable in 10 steps.
- sensitive suits stronger corrections, multiple gaps, larger rotations or combinations of multiple topics.
Which package your case needs we see at the first scan. We recommend honestly — we never push patients onto the larger package "just to be safe". If easy is enough, you get easy.
How aligner prices compare
| Method | Cost (Vienna, both jaws) | Treatment duration | |---|---|---| | Aligner easy (minor corrections) | €1,980 | 4 months | | Aligner sensitive (moderate corrections) | €2,980 | 8 months | | Traditional braces for adults | €3,500–€6,500 | 18–24 months | | Lingual braces (inside) | €6,000–€10,000 | 18–24 months |
For most adult cases with front and canine corrections, aligners are the most economical option — provided your case fits the spectrum.
What can be extra
To avoid surprises, here is an honest list of what's outside the aligner packages — if you need or want it.
- Dental hygiene before treatment start: ~€110 per session. Sensible, sometimes medically required.
- Caries treatment before start: depends on the finding. If caries is there it must be removed before aligners.
- Bleaching: optional, ~€290 both jaws. Many patients do this at the end of aligner therapy.
- Composite reshaping of individual teeth: ~€120 per tooth. For final fine details.
- Replacement of a lost aligner: typically included in the refinement, exceptionally chargeable.
- Replacement of a lost retainer years after treatment: ~€150–€250, depending on the work.
These items are not hidden costs — they are clearly separated from the aligner package because they're individually variable.
How the 36 monthly instalments work
We offer 36 interest-free monthly instalments. You pay over three years — so you continue paying two years past the actual treatment. 0% effective interest, no processing fee, no credit-bureau drama.
Example easy (1 jaw): €1,580 / 36 = €43.89, rounded we communicate €44. You pay €44 monthly by direct debit or transfer.
Instalments start with treatment start. There's no deposit — you start with instalment one.
What to note before deciding
If you compare several providers, these are the five points to confirm:
- Is the consultation free and without obligation?
- Are refinements and final review in the price?
- Are retainers for both jaws included?
- How many aligners are included — and what happens if more are needed?
- What guarantee is given if the planned end position isn't reached?
If all five answers come clearly and in writing, you're dealing with a serious provider. If not — ask. With us all five answers stand in the cost estimate you take home after the consultation.
